The Minister for Foreign Affairs, European Union and Cooperation, José Manuel Albares, accompanies the King at the inauguration of the new President of Uruguay, Yamandú Orsi, which takes place this Saturday, 1 March.
By attending these events, the Spanish Government is strengthening the extraordinary ties that unite the Spanish and Uruguayan peoples, while at the same time conveying to the President-elect its willingness to continue strengthening bilateral relations between the two countries, which share the common space of the Ibero-American Community of Nations.
The Minister will also take advantage of his visit to the Uruguayan capital to hold various meetings with the new representatives of the country's institutions, as well as several bilateral meetings with his counterparts in the region, with whom he expects to coincide during the ceremony of commitment to respect the Constitution.
