We express our condemnation of today's attack in Majdal Shams at a football ground, which has left at least ten people dead, children among them. We extend our condolences to the families of the victims, and our solidarity and our wishes for a fast recovery to the people injured.
Such violence against the civilian population is unacceptable. We stay strongly committed to the regional security; we must prevent such violence from escalating.
