Statement on arson attack against UNRWA building in Jerusalem

The Government of Spain condemns yesterday's arson attack on the UNRWA building in Jerusalem and recalls Israel's obligation to protect humanitarian workers in accordance with international law. 

UNRWA's role is essential for the protection of millio​ns of Palestinian refugees in the Middle East and its humanitarian work is essential in Gaza at this time.
