During the course of this brief visit, they will have the chance to hold a work meeting at the headquarters of the Austrian Federal Presidency, and to inaugurate the exhibition “Dalí y Freud. An obsession” at the Belvedere Museum in Vienna. Professor Jaime Brihuega is the curator of this exhibition, which explores the relationship between Salvador Dalí and Sigmund Freud, and thus the reciprocal influence between surrealism and psycho-analysis.
During their visit, Their Majesties the King and Queen will also have the chance to pay tribute to all the victims of Nazism, and particularly to the Spaniards imprisoned at Mauthausen.
This visit, the first by Their Majesties the King and Queen to Austria, is framed within the good relations between the two countries and constitutes a good opportunity to declare their wish to further step up the profound historical, political, cultural and human ties that exist between Austria and Spain.
During the visit, Their Majesties the King and Queen will be accompanied by the Minister for Culture and Sport, Miquel Iceta.
