Ambassador Marco met with the Spanish department of the School of Global Affairs at the University, and had lunch with authorities from the institution and members of the consulate and the Instituto Cervantes in Manchester. The Spanish diplomat also gave a lecture to students and teachers in which he addressed topics such as global challenges or Spain-UK relations, and shared experiences from his extensive career as a diplomat. The students participated in the debate by asking questions about Brexit and training in diplomacy.
The Vice-chancellor of the university, Andy Schoefield, visited the Embassy a few days later and discussed with the Ambasador current world events and the exchange agreement between Lancaster University and ICADE.
