The Ambassador launched the event by praising a project that connects the historical heritage that we share between Spain and the United Kingdom. The President of the Consell Insular de Menorca, Adolfo Vilafranca, recalled the rich heritage of Menorca, praising the benefits of the island and the commitment to sustainable and responsible tourism, of which the restoration of the military hospital is a good example.
Later on, the architect Javier Bardón presented the project for the restoration of the naval hospital in which Spanish and British volunteers will participate. The objective is to recover the old building and convert it into a conference and cultural centre.
