The Secretary of State held a working breakfast with a group of leading women in British politics and society, which revolved around the role of women and feminist policies in diplomacy and international relations.
Subsequently, the Secretary of State met with her counterpart Leo Docherty, Secretary of State for Europe, with whom she discussed immigration, NATO and the Ukraine Reconstruction Conference, to be held in the UK in June. The Spanish official asked that the Conference incorporate a gender perspective.
Finally, Ángeles Moreno held a meeting with Lord Ahmad of Wimbledon, Secretary of State for the Middle East, North Africa, South Asia and the United Nations, and representative of the Prime Minister for the prevention of sexual violence in conflicts. During the meeting, global security issues were addressed, with special emphasis on Africa, the Sahel and the Middle East. Likewise, Lord Ahmad asked that Spain joined the Alliance for the fight against sexual violence in conflict, which the United Kingdom has launched within the framework of the UN.
