During the Summit, attended by more than 40 ministers and representatives from Europe, Asia, the Middle East and Africa, strategies for combating illegal immigration were shared, with particular attention to dismantling their financial networks and their use of digital environments.
The Spanish Minister, who noted the increasing migratory pressure in Europe, stated "the main objective of migration policy must be prevention, as well as cooperation between countries of origin and transit, to achieve legal, orderly, and safe migration”.
