The Spanish film maker has been reinventing himself and challenging viewers for over five decades. His new project is a western about the impossible love between two cowboys (Ethan Hawke and Pedro Pascal). Almodóvar got inspired in the legendary settings of the spaghetti Westerns in the Almería desert, to answer the question posed in Brokeback Mountain: “What would two men do in the West working on a ranch?”
On September 18th, the Embassy of Spain, in collaboration with distributors Pathè, offered a reception for the premiere, which was attended by guests and friends from the world of film, culture and the arts.
Strange Way of Life can be watched just today at one of the many screenings taking place simultaneously in London: Riverside Studios, Picturehouse, BFI Southbank, Curzon Cinemas, Barbican Centre, Rich Mix, Rio Cinema, Everyman, Empire, and Cinè Lumiére as part of the London Spanish Film Festival.
