Η Πρεσβεία της Ισπανίας εκφράζει τις ευχαριστίες της για την δήλωση του Κυβερνητικού Εκπροσώπου και την ανακοίνωση του Υπουργείου Εξωτερικών το περασμένο Σαββατοκύριακο υπέρ της ισπανικής εδαφικής ακεραιότητας και απορρίπτοντας μονομερείς ενέργειες που υπονομεύουν την ενότητα της χώρας και την αρχή του αμετάβλητου των συνόρων.
Σε σχέση με τις δηλώσεις του πρέσβη της Ισπανίας το περασμένο Σαββατοκύριακο σε ελληνικό μέσο ενημέρωσης, ο ίδιος λυπάται που έδωσαν αφορμή σε ερμηνείες οι οποίες ουδόλως αντιστοιχούν με την πραγματικότητα, όπως και με την επιθυμία του να εργαστεί με εποικοδομητικό τρόπο για μια στενή σχέση εγγύτητας με τις ελληνικές Αρχές.
Οι δύο σύμμαχοι και φίλες χώρες μας είναι ενωμένες με ισχυρούς δεσμούς φιλίας και πολιτισμού, και η Πρεσβεία της Ισπανίας θα προσπαθήσει σε υπέρτατο βαθμό να εμβαθύνει την εξαιρετική αυτή σχέση που μας ενώνει.
La Embajada de España agradece los comentarios del Portavoz del Gobierno y la declaración del propio Ministerio de Asuntos Exteriores del pasado fin de semana en favor de la integridad territorial española, así como rechazando acciones unilaterales que socaven la unidad del país y el principio de intangibilidad de fronteras.
En relación con las declaraciones del embajador de España del pasado fin de semana a un medio de comunicación local, éste lamenta que hayan podido dar lugar a interpretaciones que en ningún modo se corresponden con la realidad, ni con el deseo del mismo de trabajar de manera constructiva en pro de una relación cercana y estrecha con las autoridades griegas.
Nuestros dos países, aliados y amigos, están unidos por fuertes lazos de amistad y cultura y esta Embajada se empeñará al máximo en profundizar esa extraordinaria relación que nos une.
