Foreign Nationals traveling to Spain with the purpose of participating in hunting expeditions should apply for a permit at this Consulate General of Spain. This document can be requested via postal mail or in person, in the following address and schedule:

APPLICATION FOR HUNTING PERMIT.pdf. All fields must be completed (typed or on capital letters) and signed.Please, verify that the email address is readable.Valid passport:- Applications by mail: original certified copy of passport (Notary certification that is a true full copy of the original). Please, verify that the notary stamp is present in the pages showing the passport copy. - Applications in person: original passport + copy. Valid driver's license: - Applications by mail: original certified copy of driver's license (Notary certification that is a true full copy of the original). Please, verify that the notary stamp is present in the pages showing the driver's license copy. - Applications in person: original driver's license+ copy. Non-US Citizens: US Resident Card or US Visa: - Applications by mail: original certified copy of Card/Visa (Notary certification that is a true full copy of the original). Please, verify that the notary stamp is present in the pages showing the Card/Visa copy. - Applications in person: original Card/Visa + copy. Valid hunting license: - Applications by mail: original certified copy of hunting license (Notary certification that is a true full copy of the original). Please, verify that the notary stamp is present in the pages showing the hunting license copy. - Applications in person: original hunting license + copy. TRANSLATION FORM FOR HUNTING LICENSE.pdf. All fields must be completed (typed or on capital letters) and signed.Complete airline itinerary. Traveler’s name and last name, flightdates, airline, flight number, route and airports.Letter of invitation from Spain with dates, places, provincias and Autonomous Comunity where the activity will take place and informing if the hunter will use a gun provided by the outfitter in Spain or he/she will be bringing his/her own. Please, verify that the applicant's passport number indicated in the letter of invitation is correct. The letter must be signed electronically, or include a photocopy of an original identification document of the outfitter.Payment of the fee. Form of payment: Money Order issued to Consulate General of Spain. US Citizens Reciprocity fee: $50 USD.Other citizenships: please, send an email to cog.sanfrancisco@maec.es (RE: HUNTING PERMIT)Self-adressed and Pre-Paid US "Express-Mail envelope from the U.S. Postal Service (US Post Office) if you wish to have your documents returned by mail. Note that this is only needed if you submit original documents. The electronically signed certificate will be sent via email when the request is approved. Tracking of mailed items is the sole responsibility of the applicant.IMPORTANT: if you are traveling with firearms, you must provide the valid certificate of registration for personal effects taken abroad issued by the Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Customs and Border Protection.
