The Minister participates in the Foreign Affairs Council (FAC)

At the meeting, the Minister for Foreign Affairs, European Union and Cooperation has reiterated Spain’s request for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza, barrier-free access for humanitarian aid and the release of the hostages.

On the other hand, on the margins of the Council, José Manuel Albares met with his counterparts from Belgium, Malta and Slovenia. Moreover, he met Maroš Šefčovič, Vice-President of the European Commission and Commissioner for Interinstitutional Relations and Foresight. At the meeting, they discussed the agreement on Gibraltar for an area of shared prosperity.
