Minister to open the meeting on "Transformative Investments in Africa”.

During his speech, Minister Albares highlighted "the ties of well-being, prosperity and security that unite Spain and Africa" and assured that the meeting "shall address a successful investment strategy for both the African continent and Spain". At the same time, he recalled that Spain is committed to increasing Development Aid, with the aim of reaching 0.7 percent of GDP by 2030. 

Organised by the Spanish Presidency for the Council of the EU and the African Union, the High-Level Meeting on "Transformative Investments in Africa: unleashing  job creation initiatives" is being hosted over two days at the Marqués de Salamanca headquarters of the Ministry for Foreign Affairs, European Union and Cooperation.
