The Governing Council of Casa Árabe appoints diplomat Miguel Moro as director

At a meeting held today, the Governing Council of Casa Árabe agreed to appoint diplomat Miguel Moro as the institution’s director, with no votes against.

During his diplomatic career, Miguel Moro has been posted to Amman (Jordan), and has held, among other positions, those of Deputy Head at the Spanish Embassy in Baghdad and in Tel Aviv. His latest foreign assignment has been as Ambassador to Kuwait from 2020 to 2024. His most recent position was in Madrid, at the headquarters of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, European Union and Cooperation, as Ambassador-at-Large for the Persian Gulf countries.

Casa Árabe is an institutional consortium created in July 2006 through a collaboration agreement signed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, European Union and Cooperation, the Spanish Agency for International Development Cooperation (AECID), the Junta de Andalucía, the Autonomous Community of Madrid, Madrid City Council and Cordoba City Council.
