The Minister for Foreign Affairs, European Union and Cooperation, José Manuel Albares, and the Minister for Defence, Margarita Robles, today participated in the first ministerial-level meeting to follow up on the Conference in support of Ukraine.
The meeting, convened by the French Ministers for Foreign Affairs and Defence, was attended by almost thirty countries, mainly European, and by representatives of the European Union, NATO, the United States and Canada.
The Spanish representation reiterated the message conveyed by the President of the Government during the conference held in Paris on 26 February, underlining Spain's commitment to participate in coalitions, and to stimulate industrial production in support of Ukraine, especially of 155 mm ammunition and weapons systems.
The Spanish ministers discussed possibilities for better coordinating and strengthening Spain's support for Ukraine; and reiterated Spain's commitment to the defence of Ukraine's sovereignty and integrity.
José Manuel Albares and Margarita Robles also insisted on continuing to support Ukraine for as long as necessary - politically, financially and militarily.
