José Manuel Albares addresses relations between Spain and United Arab Emirates with his Emirati counterpart

The Minister for Foreign Affairs, European Union and Cooperation, José Manuel Albares, spoke by phone today with his counterpart from the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, at which they addressed issues of bilateral interest.

During the phone call, Minister Albares again expressed Spain’s firm condemnation of the terrorist attacks by the Houthi militias of Ansar Allah against UAE territory on 17 January, conveying to the minister Spain’s full solidarity with the Government of the UAE and conveying its condolences to the families of the victims.

As regards the conflict in Yemen, the minister reiterated Spain’s full support in the search for a political solution within the framework of the resolutions of the United Nations.
