His Majesty the King will travel to Costa Rica for the presidential handover ceremony to the President-elect of the Republic of Costa Rica, Laura Fernández Delgado, which will take place on Friday 8 May.
By attending these events, the Spanish Government is reinforcing the close ties and affinity that unite the Spanish and Costa Rican peoples, whilst conveying to the President-elect its willingness to continue strengthening bilateral relations between the two countries, which share the common space of the Ibero-American Community of Nations.
