The Spanish Government strongly condemns the Houthi attacks on the Saudi airports in Riyadh and Abha, and extends its condolences to the families and loved ones of those who have died, as well as its sincerest wishes for a speedy recovery to the injured.
Spain reiterates its full solidarity with and support for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the internationally recognised Government of Yemen in the face of these unacceptable Houthi attacks.
The Government urges the Houthi militias to cease their escalation of violence and indiscriminate attacks, and calls for a negotiated solution to be reached under the auspices of the United Nations, as well as for the implementation of UN Security Council resolution 2216.
