The Government of Spain condemns in the strongest terms the brutal Houthi terrorist attack against Riyadh International Airport and conveys its condolences to the families and loved ones of the deceased and its most sincere wishes for a speedy recovery to the injured.
Spain reiterates its full solidarity and support for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the internationally recognised government of Yemen in the face of the unacceptable Houthi attacks. The Houthi militias must immediately cease their escalation of violence and indiscriminate attacks against civilians and critical infrastructure.
Spain urges de-escalation and calls for a negotiated solution under the auspices of the United Nations, and for the implementation of UNSC Resolution 2216.
