On the anniversary of the atrocious attacks carried out by the terrorist group Hamas on 7 October 2023, the Spanish Government once again pays tribute to, and expresses its solidarity with and support for, all the victims and their families, and in a very special way to the loved ones of Maya Villalobo and Iván Illarramendi, the two Spanish citizens who were murdered.
The Spanish Government reaffirms its strongest condemnation of any manifestation of anti-Semitism, hatred or discrimination. Spain reiterates its commitment to a global, just and lasting peace in the Middle East, based on the implementation of the two-State solution, with Israel and Palestine living side by side in peace and security.
