The Spanish Government reiterates the strategic importance of the partnership between the European Union and Morocco

The Spanish Government reiterates the strategic importance of the partnership between the European Union and Morocco, from which both parties derive important benefits, and in the development for which Spain has played and will continue to play a fundamental role. 

The Government acknowledges the judgements handed down by the Court of Justice of the European Union on agricultural and fishery agreements between the European Union and Morocco. 

The Government supports the statement issued by the President of the Commission, Ursula Von der Leyen, and by the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and Vice-President of the Commission, Josep Borrell, and will study, alongside the European Union's institutions and partners, ways in which to continue promoting the relationship with Morocco, which is a key partner for both Sp​ain and the European Union.
