Albares travels with the King to the inauguration of Panama’s President-elect

June 28, 2024
The Minister for Foreign Affairs, European Union and Cooperation, José Manuel Albares, will travel with the King to the inauguration of Panama’s President-elect, José Raúl Mulino, which will be held on Monday, 1 July, in the country's capital.

During his time in Panama, Felipe VI will meet with both the outgoing and incoming presidents, with plans for bilateral meetings in which he will be accompanied by Minister Albares, and he will also take the opportunity to greet representatives of the Spanish community resident in the country.

With its presence in these events, the Spanish Government is reinforcing the extraordinary ties that unite the Spanish and Panamanian peoples, while conveying to the President-elect its readiness to continue to strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries, which share the common space of the Ibero-American Community of Nations.
