The Spanish Government welcomes the fact that, following the resumption of the dialogue and negotiation process between the Government of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela and the Unitary Platform of Venezuela in Barbados, a partial agreement has been reached to promote political rights and electoral guarantees in the run up to the presidential elections scheduled for the second half of 2024.
Spain supports an agreement between Venezuelans that will improve the well-being of Venezuelan citizens and their coexistence. The parties are therefore encouraged to deepen their dialogue and consolidate what has been agreed.
