Spanish government expresses condolences for earthquake victims in Turkey, Syria, Lebanon and Iraq

​The Government of Spain expresses its condolences for the victims of the earthquakes that occurred this morning in Turkey, Syria, Lebanon and Iraq. 

The Embassies of Spain in the area are monitoring the situation and verifying the traveler registry. At this time, the Embassies have not received emergency calls from Spanish citizens.

Spain has mobilized troops and drones from the Military Emergency Unit, which will travel to the Malatya airport, where the Turkish authorities have set up the international aid center. 

Spain is ready to supply additional aid that those countries and populations may require.
