His Majesty the King will travel on Sunday to the Federative Republic of Brazil on the occasion of the ceremony of the Transfer of Presidential Power to the President-Elect of Brazil, Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, which will take place on 1 January.
On this occasion, H.M. the King will be accompanied by the Second Vice-President of the Government and Minister for Work and Social Economy, Yolanda Díaz, and the Minister for Foreign Affairs, European Union and Cooperation, José Manuel Albares.
The attendance of H.M. the King and the Second Vice-President of the Government and the Minister for Foreign Affairs, European Union and Cooperation at the swearing-in of President Lula da Silva reaffirms Spain’s commitment to continue strengthening the sound ties of friendship that unite Spain and Brazil, ties that are accompanied by shared values to the benefit of our citizens.
