Resumption of negotiation process in Mexico between Venezuelan government and opposition

The Spanish government welcomes the resumption of the negotiation process in Mexico between the Venezuelan government and opposition.

The Venezuelan government and opposition have taken a very important step today in the reconciliation of the country by resuming talks in Mexico.

The Spanish government welcomes the fact that the parties have returned to the negotiating table and reiterates its support for dialogue between Venezuelans.

Spain will continue to work to strengthen dialogue in this new phase, placing its capacity to negotiate at the service of the parties and contributing to create the necessary conditions to ensure the success of the talks.
