Violence in Gaza

The Government of Spain remains concerned by the new escalation of violence in Gaza, and welcomes the possibility of a ceasefire, which must take effect immediately to halt the loss of human life.

 

Spain reiterates its strong condemnation of the launch of rockets, and, while acknowledging that Israel is entitled to protect its people, it also calls for it to avoid civilian victims among the Palestinian population.

 

The Government of Spain considers it essential to recover a political perspective to apply the two-State solution, and to persevere with the recent efforts to create a more sustainable situation in Gaza.​
