The government welcomes the excellent development of relations between our two countries over the past 30 years, during which time sound political relations have been forged. Cultural and economic ties have also increased in this period. At an economic level, the ties forged in such important sectors as energy and infrastructure are also noteworthy. All this progress results in better knowledge and proximity between our two peoples, to their mutual benefit.
Spain wishes to take the opportunity of this anniversary to give a renewed and decisive boost to our relations, both at a bilateral level and through the European Union, particularly within the framework of the Eastern Partnership.
On the occasion of this important milestone in our bilateral relations, the Government of Spain expresses its wishes for peace, well-being and prosperity for the friendly nation of Azerbaijan.
