STEP 1. PREPARE THE VISA APPLICATION FILE.
Before making an appointment, check that you meet all the requirements and have all the necessary documents. Submitting an incomplete file will, without exception, result in the visa application being rejected or rejected.
Instructions for all kinds of visa applications
STEP 2. REQUEST ACCESS TO THE APPOINTMENT BOOKING SYSTEM.
Please write an email to the visa appointment address: emb.yaunde.citvis@maec.es
This e-mail address only receives visa appointment requests and handles them automatically. No enquiries will be processed at this e-mail address.
You must send a separate e-mail for each applicant, including minors.
You must send the essential information and the essential supporting documents following this exact structure:
Subject : Enter the visa type identifier code (three letters) corresponding to the visa you wish to apply for.
Attachments : Attach an image of your passport and the essential supporting documents depending on the type of visa.
Attachments must not be linked to cloud services and must not be larger than 1MB. If they were, you should make sure that you are sending only the required documents and/or reduce their size.
Body of the message : You must include the following detailed information, in the exact same order and on separate lines, using the Latin alphabet in capital letters (with the exception of the email) and exactly as they appear on your PASSPORT:
- International passport number.
- The applicant's first and last name in capital letters without accents, apostrophes or any other characters.
- Code identifying the type of visa.
- E-mail address.
- Reason for traveling (in a few words).
- Intended date of travel.
You must not send a new e-mail for the same applicant before the next 10 days. Please be patient, we will process your request as soon as possible.
HERE IS AN EXAMPLE OF A CORRECT VISA APPOINTMENT REQUEST:
IF YOU HAVE NOT RECEIVED AN ANSWER FROM US AFTER 30 DAYS:
It is due to one of the following reasons.
- You have entered an incorrect visa code in the subject line of the message or no code at all.
- You have mistakenly written to an e-mail address different than emb.yaunde.citvis @maec.es.
- You have not strictly respected the structure of the application message explained above. If you do not do so, the automated system cannot process the data.
- You have repeated the request within the next 30 days. The system deletes all recent messages with a repeated passport number.
- You have not attached the required documents for your visa type.
- The information is inconsistent (e.g. the information you have entered does not match the documents you have attached).
STEP 3: BOOK THE APPOINTMENT.
If you have followed these steps correctly, you will receive a confirmation email with your password to access the platform.
You can then enter the booking platform and choose an appointment, if there are any available.
Appointments will be opened progressively and automatically. However, due to the current high volume of requests, if you do not find an available time slot when accessing the platform, you will have to wait until new appointments become available.
Once you have selected an appointment, you will receive an email confirming that your booking was successful.
If you need to cancel or modify your appointment, you can do so up to 3 days before the date, using the same username and password, which will remain valid.
Due to the limited availability of human resources and time, and in order to guarantee equal opportunities among all applicants, the number of requests and cancellations that a person can make are limited to a certain reasonable number.
