The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Spain, José Manuel Albares, has confirmed that Spain has opened negotiations with Ukraine to sign a bilateral security agreement, following the steps of other countries that have already signed bilateral security agreements with Ukraine, including Germany, France, United Kingdom, Italy, Denmark, and Canada.
The administration of the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, announced the start of the negotiations where they discussed the structure of the future agreement and the schedule for further negotiations.
