The Second Vice-President and Minister of Labor and Social Economy, Yolanda Díaz, has visitied the United States, where she met with representatives of the U.S. government and the Spanish community in Washington, D.C.
The vice-president's visit began with a meeting with her U.S. counterpart in labor rights, Julie Su, together they signed a joint statement to combat algorithmic bias in the workplace and protect labor rights. The statement seeks to address biases such as racism or sexism in algorithms, calling for international collaboration to manage risks and promote ethical transparency in automated systems. Spain and the United States, are committed to international principles and stress the importance of assessing the global impact of these systems in the workplace.
In Washington D.C., the vice-president had the opportunity to meet with the Spanish community in Washington D.C. She express her appreciation and that of the Spanish Government for the important role that Spanish men and women play in the U.S.
