Statement on sham voting process in Ukrainian territory

Spain strongly condemns the sham voting process organized yesterday in Ukraine. The Government of Spain assigns no credibility or legitimacy to the fictitious results announced by the occupation forces. Spain expresses its outright rejection of any action or decision that may be taken by the Russian authorities towards the illegal annexation of these territories. 

 

The Government of Spain reiterates its firm support for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine within its internationally-recognized borders and once again calls on Russia to desist in its armed aggression and immediately, completely and unconditionally withdraw its troops from all Ukrainian territory.
