It is a great privilege for me to represent Spain as the first woman to hold the post of Ambassador to this wonderful country. This historic milestone, a reflection of my country's commitment to gender equality policies, fills me with pride and gives me the opportunity to further strengthen relations between Spain and Trinidad and Tobago, based on mutual respect, collaboration and friendship.
Through this virtual space, we wish to bring you closer to the work of the Embassy and offer you key information about our consular services, cultural and commercial initiatives and all those areas in which we work to strengthen bilateral ties.
The relationship between Spain and Trinidad and Tobago, although separated by an ocean, has deep roots in the exchange of ideas, values and common projects. My mission, as Ambassador of Spain to this country, is to continue deepening these ties, not only in the diplomatic and commercial spheres, but also in the cultural and social spheres, in order to foster greater understanding and bringing our peoples closer together.
On our website you will find information about the consular services we offer, including assistance for Spanish citizens, procedures such as obtaining passports and visas, and support in emergency situations. In addition, you can access resources on opportunities for collaboration in key areas such as trade, investment, education and culture, among others. Our entire embassy team and our network of honorary consulates in the region are at your disposal to support and inform you.
I am deeply grateful for the warm welcome I have received since my arrival in Trinidad and Tobago. This country, with its rich diversity and vibrant culture, shares with Spain a firm commitment to democratic values, human rights and sustainable development, and I am convinced that together, our nations can achieve new goals.
