UPDATED Entry requirements in Spain for travelers coming from India, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Maldives and Bhutan for tourism/business purposes
 
In accordance with the Spanish Ordinance INT/657/2020, dated July 17 and its later modifications, as well as the Department of Public Health Resolution dated June 4, 2021, travelers coming from India, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Maldives and Bhutan can visit Spain for tourism/business purposes, provided that they are in possession of:
 
1)       A valid Schengen visa
 
2)     A vaccination certificate
o    of a vaccine accepted by EMA/WHO: (Pfizer, Moderna, AstraZeneca (or Covishield), Janssen, Sinovac or Sinopharm), Covaxin.
o    issued by the competent authorities
o    Entry will be allowed only 14 days after the administration of the complete dose.
 
ATTENTION!!I, From 1 February 2022, the vaccination certificate will be valid from 14 days after the date of administration of the last dose of the complete vaccination schedule and will be valid up to 270 days from the date of administration of that last dose. Thereafter, in order to be valid, the vaccination certificate must reflect the administration of a booster dose.
 
Any vaccine authorised by the European Union (European Medicines Agency, EMA) and WHO will be accepted. Certificates with vaccines not authorised by these agencies are also acceptable, but the last dose administered must be of one of the authorised vaccines.
 
o    Vaccination certificates will be subject to verification by the Spanish health authorities.
o    The certificates must be written in Spanish, English, French or German. In the event that it is not possible, the accrediting document must be accompanied by a translation into Spanish made by an official translator.
o    The vaccination certificate must include the following information: 
1. Name and surname of the holder.
2. Date of vaccination, indicating the date of the last dose administered.
3. The type of vaccine administered. 
4. Number of doses administered/complete schedule. 
5. Issuing country. 
6. Identification of the agency issuing the vaccination certificate. 
 
Minors under twelve years of age are exempted from presenting a vaccination certificate. People between 12 and 18 years old, SINCE FEBRUARY 14th, 2022, can enter Spain by presenting a negative SARS-CoV-2 molecular nucleic acid amplification test-NAAT (RT-PCR or similar) performed 72 hours prior to arrival, after verification by the health authorities.
 
3)  And Health declaration form: All passengers, including minors, arriving in Spain by air or sea, and also those arriving in transit to other countries, must complete it before departure through the website www.spth.gob.esIt opens in new window or the Spain Travel Health -SpTH- app (hereinafter SpTH), available on Android and iOS. After completing the health control form, SpTH will issue an individualized QR code that the traveler must present to the transport companies before boarding, as well as at the health controls at the point of entry into Spain.
 
There is NO need of quarantine after arrival in Spain if the person is coming from India.
 
Vaccination certificates are not part of the visa application requirements, so they do not need to be submitted at the time of the visa application. However it will be required for entering Spain.
 
Airlines and in-transit countries could request other requirements. Please check your airline and the in-transit country requirements.
