La 26.ª sesión del Consejo Conjunto y Reunión Ministerial entre la UE y el CCG se ha celebrado en Bruselas el 21 de febrero de 2022. La delegación de la UE ha estado encabezada por el Alto Representante de la Unión para Asuntos Exteriores y Política de Seguridad y vicepresidente de la Comisión, Josep Borrell. La delegación del Consejo de Cooperación del Golfo ha estado encabezada por su alteza el príncipe Faisal binFarhan Al Saud, Ministro de Asuntos Exteriores del Reino de Arabia Saudí, Presidente de la actual sesión del Consejo Ministerial del Consejo de Cooperación del Golfo. En la sesión han participado los Ministros de Asuntos Exteriores de la UE y del CCG.
Los Ministros han pasado revista a los avances en la asociación estratégica entre el Consejo de Cooperación del Golfo y la Unión Europea y han coincidido en la importancia de reforzar las relaciones entre el CCG y la UE en una amplia gama de ámbitos, como el diálogo político, la seguridad regional, la lucha contra el terrorismo, el comercio y la inversión, la energía, el cambio climático, la educación, la salud y la ciberseguridad.

Ministerial meeting between the EU and the GCC
The 26th session of the Joint Council and Ministerial Meeting between the EU and the GCC was held in Brussels on February 21, 2022. The EU delegation was led by the High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Policy Security and Vice President of the Commission, Josep Borrell. The Gulf Cooperation Council delegation was led by His Highness Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud, Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Chairman of the current session of the Gulf Cooperation Council. The Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the EU and the GCC participated in the session.
The Ministers reviewed the progress made in the strategic partnership between the Gulf Cooperation Council and the European Union and agreed on the importance of strengthening relations between the GCC and the EU in a wide range of areas, such as political dialogue, regional security, the fight against terrorism, trade and investment, energy, climate change, education, health and cyber security.
