EULAT for Culture:
Filipino design links with Asia, The Americas and Europe.
EULAT for Culture: Filipino design links with Asia, The Americas and Europe is a week-long series of talks, workshops, and gastronomic events organized around the future of design.
A series of Hybrid discussions (online and face-to-face) will take place at Casa Azul of Instituto Cervantes, (Intramuros, Manila) from 17th – 22nd October 2022.
This cultural program is organized by the Design Center of the Philippines (DCP), collaborating with the European Union National Institutes for Culture (EUNIC) and the Ibero American Network for Cultural Diplomacy (RIDCULT), a total of eight countries which are represented. This program is part of this year’s Design Week of the Philippines, October 2022.
The Philippines through the Design Center, the Embassies of Spain, Austria, Mexico, and Chile and the Instituto Cervantes, Alliance Française, Philippine Italian Association, Goethe Institut selected and facilitated the participation of speakers and workshop leaders to the signal project.
The participating experts of Europe, Latin American and the Philippines will highlight in turns, per day, different enriching approaches, addressing the main contemporary design challenges in the three continents and providing their own insights from their practice an research.
The topics cluster around architecture, gastronomy, textile/fashion design, and digital media work.
EULAT4Culture, is an innovative iniative of cultural diplomacy, that gather 20 clusters in 20 cities of Africa, America, Asia and Europe.
