The Ambassador of Spain participated in the panel “Europe: Trading with the EU again”

Ambassador Aparici outlined the strengths of the Spanish economy and spoke about Spain as a key partner and connexion between the United Kingdom and the European Union, highlighting the opportunities offered by the new context of reset between London and the EU countries.

The Ambassador emphasized the importance of economic stability and security to promote trade and investment, recalling the excellent economic ties between our countries: the United Kingdom is Spain’s largest market outside the EU and the second most important destination for our direct investment. For the United Kingdom, Spain is the world’s second largest provider of services, after the United States.

The first UK-Spain Trade and Investment Dialogue, which took place a few days ago, confirmed the potential for further strengthening the economic ties between our countries, as well as highlighting the new opportunities ahead.
