The delegation from the Town Councils of the English Camino and the Provincial Council of La Coruña was chaired by the Mayor of Corcubión, Mr. Francisco Domínguez, and the Provincial Deputy for Sports, Youth and the Camino, Mr. Antonio Leira. Both were welcomed by Ambassador Pascual Marco, who offered his support to promote the Camino amongst the British people.

The Galician delegation also attended the Assembly of the Confraternity of St James UK, where they learned about the situation of the English Camino and the plans for its promotion. The Confraternity of St James UK, based in London, is dedicated to the promotion, signposting and maintenance of the English Camino. It began in medieval times at Finchale Abbey in Reading and ended in Southampton, where pilgrims embarked for Spain.
