Impressions of Spain in the 1830s

The exhibition reflects on the works of Harriet and Richard Ford, Owen Jones, John F Lewis, David Roberts and George Vivian, who visited Spain in the 1830s attracted by their curiosity towards Spanish landscapes, people and monuments.

The Spanish Ambassador inaugurated the exhibition together with Professor Shitij Kapur, President of King's College London, and Professor Sir Barry Ife, who has contributed works from his personal library. Subsequently, the three toured the exhibition that projects the great interest of 19th century British travellers in Spain.
