The 129th Council of the International Maritime Organization (IMO), held last week in London and chaired by the Spaniard Víctor Jiménez, selected our country as the venue for the event that takes place every year to coincide with World Maritime Day to demonstrate the importance of maritime transport and to pay homage to seafarers. The motto chosen for 2024 is "Navigating the future: safety first".
Selecting Spain as the host, is yet another sign of our country's involvement in the Organization's work, and once again places us at the forefront of the international maritime sphere.
