The Ambassador toured the hospital facilities known for their pioneering work in cardiac and respiratory care and research. She learned about the latest technologies and innovations and met with some of the more than 300 Spaniards working in clinical, scientific, research, and management areas.
The visit highlighted the close healthcare collaboration between Spain and the United Kingdom. More than 5,000 Spaniards currently work in the NHS, contributing their experience and knowledge to one of the best public health systems in the world and strengthening ties between the two countries in research, training, and professional exchange.
