Indra and TfL signed a contract for managing the ticketing system for London's public transport

​​Indra will manage the ticketing and access control system for the London and metropolitan area public transport network until 2034, as well as its technological development. The Spanish group, a global leader in urban mobility systems management, will operate one of the world's most extensive and complex public transport networks, serving more than 8.6 million passengers daily on buses, the Underground, trains, and boats.

The TfL network comprises approximately 8,500 city buses, 11 Underground lines and 400 stations, 3 suburban rail lines and 300 stations (Overground, DLR, and Elizabeth Line), 24 boat departure points, 4,000 Oyster card sales points, and 7 customer service centres.

Indra has been present in the United Kingdom for twenty years, and has offices in Whiteley (Southampton), Peterborough and London, with projects throughout the country, such as the management of the London tunnel network or defence projects with the Royal Air Force.
