The Embassy hosted the presentation of the book, which tells the story of the Spanish Republicans who joined the British Army during the Second World War
The Cultural Counsellor welcomed the attendees and introduced Séan F. Scullion who, after years of research, has published a book about a thousand Republicans who enlisted in the British Army to fight against the Nazis.
Séan F. Scullion and Geoffrey Cowling, a retired British diplomat, talked about the book in the Luis Vives Room at the Embassy. Scullion spoke about the origin of the book, the compilation of data and how he created a work that sheds light on one of the least known facts of the Second World War.
