Over a hundred Spanish and British artists, collectors and gallery owners gathered at the Embassy to talk about the art world and the role of Spain in the British cultural scene, coinciding with the celebration of the FRIEZE modern art fair in London. Several directors of major museums in Spain and the United Kingdom also attended.
During the reception, the artist and academic Rebecca Salter was awarded the Order of Isabel la Catholica in recognition of her work in promoting Spanish culture in the United Kingdom.
