The second Vice-President of the Spanish Government and Minister for Work and Social Economy, Yolanda Díaz, expressed her delight in attending such a significant event, assuring Spain's firm commitment to strengthening its relations with the United Kingdom. The Vice-President also conveyed some words of affection to the Spanish community in the United Kingdom.
The Secretary of State for Transport of the United Kingdom, Louise Haigh, closed the speeches by praising Spain and expressing the intention of the new British Government to promote closer ties between the two countries.
The event ended with a toast to the Spanish and British Monarchs, and a reception attended by a large representation of British politics and civil society, as well as the Spanish community in the United Kingdom.
The attendance could sample typical products from the Region of Murcia, a special guest at the event.
