"Singular Honour", with a foreword by the Embassy's Counsellor for Cultural and Scientific Affairs, José M.ª Robles Fraga, recounts the Battle of Arroyomolinos, an episode of the War of Independence in which British troops helped the Spanish fight the invaders.
The event included observations by the Spanish Defense Attaché in the United Kingdom, Captain Rafael Guerra Soler, who highlighted the role of the British 34th Infantry Division in the battle and drew a parallel with the current military cooperation between the two countries.
Following this, Peter Green, the book's author, and Simon Sole of the Cumbria Military Museum, which houses memorabilia from the battle, gave a talk.
