Ambassador José Pascual Marco and the Chairman of the committee, Tanmanjeet Singh Dhesi, reviewed bilateral defence relations and agreed on the need for more cooperation between the EU and the United Kingdom to meet the challenges of European and global security.
Both welcomed the growing link between the defence industries of our countries, as demonstrated by the purchase of the Harland & Wolff shipyards by the Spanish company Navantia, which is building three logistic support vessels for the British Navy.
MP Singh Dhesi explained the challenges of the new British Defence strategy, which aims to strengthen defence and improve security relations with European countries.
