The President of the House of Lords recounted the emotional visit to London, the previous day, of President Zelenski, who addressed both Chambers. The Ambassador and John McFall praised the integrity of the President and the Ukrainian people, insisting on the support of the west to end the Russian invasion.
Furthermore, they discussed the activity of the House of Lords and the immediate legislative agenda, exchanging points of view on English politics.
The Ambassador also addressed the upcoming Spanish Presidency of the EU and stressed the closeness between Spain and the United Kingdom and the long history of relations between the Embassy and the House of Lords, proposing to carry out joint activities.
