The Hispanic Association of The Hague (ASOHA), in collaboration with the Embassy of Spain in The Hague, organizes an event to commemorate the role of Rafael Altamira as a pedagogue and international jurist. He was elected in 1920 as a member of the Commission of Jurists, set by the League of Nations Assembly, to prepare the preliminary draft of the Permanent Court of International Justice. A year later, he was elected as a full judge of this institution, a position he held until 1940.
