Spain and Malaysia have maintained diplomatic relations since 1967. We are engaged in increasingly close cooperation in areas such as trade, investment, infrastructure, security, renewable energy, science and technology, education, culture, gastronomy, and tourism.
The growing presence of Spanish companies in Malaysia and the dynamism of our exchanges encourage us to continue striving to develop a wide range of opportunities for the benefit of both societies.

Malaysia is one of the most dynamic countries in a region of strategic importance to Spain, as reflected in the Spanish Strategy for Asia-Pacific 2026–2029.
